Privacy policy

Stekker of Diesel (stekkerofdiesel.nl) is a free calculator. This policy explains which data is processed and why. Last updated 2 November 2026.

What we don't ask for

You do not need an account to use the calculator. We do not ask for your name, email address or other personal information.

Request a fleet analysis

For a fleet analysis enquiry, we store your name, company, email, phone number and message. We use these only to contact you and do not share them with others. Data is held in a restricted environment at Supabase and deleted within 12 months of our last contact, or earlier on request.

Business email from us

If we email your company about Stekker of Diesel, we found your business email address on your company website or in a public business register. We store the address with the company name, your name if it is listed with the address, the type of transport and where we found the address. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest: pointing transport companies to a free, independent cost comparison. If you click a link in the email, we record which link and when, so we can see which emails are useful. If you consent to statistics on the site, we link your visit to that click so we can see which pages you view. Without that consent we do not. We do not track whether you open an email.

You can unsubscribe with the link at the bottom of every email or via info@stekkerofdiesel.nl. After that we will not email you again and only keep your email address on a suppression list, so it stays that way. We delete the other data no later than twelve months after our last email. You can also ask which data we hold, have it corrected or have it deleted.

De Data staan in One afgeschermde omgeving At Supabase and worden after 25 months verwijderd.

Request a quote

If you request a model quote, we store your name, company, email, phone number, chosen model and calculation link. We share these contact details with dealers of that brand to obtain quotes for you. We delete the data within 12 months of our last contact.

Price alerts and sale price reports

For a price alert, we store your email, vehicle category and maximum price so we can email matching offers. Each email contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes your details. Reported sale prices are stored without names, email addresses or registration numbers, solely for the residual-value index.

Registration number

Your browser retrieves public vehicle data directly from RDW. The registration number stays only in your browser so you can continue later. Saved calculations contain vehicle category, make, model, year, weight and Euro class, never the registration number.

Your calculations

We store calculations to improve the calculator: inputs and changes, vehicle selection, results, device type, screen width and referral source. Without analytics consent, these are anonymous, with no visitor identifier or device storage. With consent, your visitor identifier is included. Calculations are held in our Supabase database for up to 25 months.

Your cookie choices

On your first visit, we ask permission to use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and personalised ads. You can control these separately. Your choice is stored in your browser for 12 months. Use Cookies in the footer to change or withdraw consent.

Analytics, only with your consent

With consent, we measure pages viewed, buttons clicked, steps completed, models viewed and calculation results and settings. We also record where on the page you click, how fast pages load, device type, screen size, browser language and time zone, the country you visit from, referral source and campaign codes to improve the calculator.

To distinguish visits, we store a random visitor identifier locally in your browser. It does not identify you and is not linked to other information. We do not store IP addresses. Analytics data is held in our Supabase database for up to 25 months. It also supports A/B tests, where visitors may see different button wording.

With your analytics consent, we also use Google Analytics 4. Google measures page views, approximate location, device and browser, traffic sources and predefined actions, such as viewing models and completing the calculator. Google Analytics does not store raw IP addresses. We do not send Google names, email addresses, number plates, form contents or calculation settings from shared links. Google sets cookies starting with _ga; these expire within twelve months. Event-level and user-level data in Analytics is retained for fourteen months. Withdraw your consent using Cookies to stop Analytics and remove its cookies from your browser.

Without consent, we count page views, how long and how far you scrolled, how fast the page loaded, referral source, country, screen width and whether the device is mobile, and store calculations anonymously. No visitor identifier is assigned or stored on your device. Withdrawing consent removes the visitor identifier from your browser.

Advertising

To keep this site free, we show Google AdSense ads. With consent for personalised ads, Google and its partners may use cookies to tailor ads based on visits to this and other sites. Without that consent, ads are not personalised. We pass your choice through Google Consent Mode. Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com.

What stays in your browser

Your latest calculator settings are stored locally in your browser so you can continue later. This is needed for the calculator to work. Shared links contain calculation settings only, not personal information.

Third-party services

Fonts are served from our own website. Your browser connects to Supabase for current vehicle data. GitHub Pages hosts the website and stores IP addresses in server logs for security. Supabase also receives your IP address when your browser connects. This technical processing is separate from our visitor analytics, where we do not store IP addresses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you may access, correct or delete your data and object to processing. Analytics uses a random identifier, so we cannot link it to you personally; withdrawing consent removes that identifier. Ad-related requests are handled through Google. You may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
