Grants for electric trucks and chargers
AanZET supports new zero-emission trucks; SPRILA and SPULA cover different charging infrastructure. Eligibility depends on vehicle, site and application timing. Also calculate without grants to understand the investment dependency.
How much grant do you get with AanZET?
| Company | Tractor unit or N3 rigid truck | N2 rigid truck from 10 tonnes |
|---|---|---|
| Small or non-profit | 29%, max. € 115,200 | 14.8%, max. € 36,900 |
| Medium | 21%, max. € 83,200 | 12%, max. € 29,900 |
| Large | 11.1%, max. € 43,900 | 6.1%, max. € 15,200 |
As of 30 October 2026, AanZET is temporarily closed. RVO expects the next round around mid-March 2027; check the confirmed date and terms before ordering.
MIA as an alternative
For an electric truck under code D 3116 in 2026, the MIA deduction is 36% of 90% of the eligible investment amount, with no Vamil allowance. Your benefit depends on your tax rate and tax position. AanZET and MIA cannot be combined for the same investment.
Buses and coaches: STour or MIA
A new electric coach (M2 or M3, approved for 100 km/h) can get STour: 60% of the extra cost over a comparable diesel for a small company, 50% for medium and 30% for large, up to €180,000, €150,000 or €90,000. Applications are open in 2026 until 30 November, while budget lasts. Alternatively you can use MIA (code A 3108): 36% on 90% of the price, with Vamil. STour and MIA cannot be combined for the same coach.
Vans: no grant, but tax benefits
There is no longer a national grant for electric vans, and they are not on the 2026 Milieulijst. An electric van pays no BPM registration tax, while a new diesel van has paid BPM based on its CO₂ emissions since 2025. The KIA small-business allowance may also apply, to diesel and electric alike.
Check the application timing
- AanZET has funding rounds with limited budgets. Read the application timing rules before signing a purchase or lease agreement: signing too early can make you ineligible.
- Register MIA within three months of committing to the investment, usually from the order date.
- AanZET and MIA cannot be combined for the same vehicle. Compare which gives you the greater benefit.
- Application timing also matters for SPRILA. Check the terms before ordering chargers.
SPRILA or SPULA: what type of charging site are you building?
SPRILA covers private business charging infrastructure; SPULA covers publicly accessible heavy-vehicle charging sites. Check current availability, site requirements and application timing with RVO before making commitments.
